Cash recovered from Nancy Salzman's home and a photograph of that cash
During closing argument, Penza displayed a photograph of cash recovered from Nancy Salzman's home and described approximately $550,000 stored in shoeboxes and another bag. She argued that the money belonged to Raniere despite his claimed lack of assets.
About
Penza asked jurors to infer that the cash belonged to Raniere and formed part of a concealed-assets and tax-avoidance scheme; these were proposed inferences, not findings.
