Adriana

Adriana addressed damage to her family in a victim impact statement at Raniere's sentencing on Day 29. Her participation was a sentencing statement, rather than a witness examination.

During the trial, Lauren Salzman described Adriana occupying a room adjoining Daniela's to pressure her daughter to end her confinement. Salzman also described later suggestions that Daniela remain confined until her mother returned, and the shunning of both women.

During Daniela's testimony, the court limited consideration of a conversation between Adriana and Adrian to its impression on Daniela and her behavior, not the truth of the statements. After the prosecutor inadvertently used Adriana's surname, the court agreed without defense objection that it would be sealed or expunged.
