About

Mark Vicente identified Omar Boone as a former roommate and friend who became a NXIVM proctor. During direct examination, Vicente identified him in Government Exhibit 5 and described sharing a residence after moving to the Albany area around 2006. Lauren Salzman also identified Boone in Government Exhibit 367, a photograph of an intensive, explaining that his orange sash denoted a proctor, a role involving leading curriculum and running programs.

Vicente testified that Boone became very angry when Vicente raised concerns about NXIVM during a March 2017 meeting with senior members. In separate testimony about his effort to leave the executive board, Vicente said he suggested Boone as his replacement and that Raniere seemed open to the idea. Salzman later named Boone among executive-board recipients of emails from Audrey and Kristin seeking the return of collateral. She identified him as copied on Audrey's July 10, 2017 email and as a recipient of Kristin's request that September. The requests concerned material including compromising photographs, videos and letters; Salzman testified that collateral had not been returned.
