About

Lauren Salzman identified Daniella Padilla, also known by her married name Bergeron, as one of Raniere's first-line DOS masters. Salzman named Padilla among the members with whom she said she collected collateral under false pretenses and used it to extort more property. She also testified that Padilla coordinated dates for a recommitment ceremony in Mexico and proposed that the women pleasure Raniere together. Salzman said she refused. According to Salzman, Raniere denied directing the proposal, and Padilla later took responsibility for it.

Business and property records also connected Padilla to the Bergeron name. During Sean Welch's testimony, prosecutors introduced records of a $922.74 restraint-equipment order dated May 26, 2017, under the Bergeron name that shipped. A separate $1,730.90 order dated May 28 listed Padilla for billing and Alex Martin for shipping; it was canceled without shipment. Welch confirmed that the two orders shared an address and telephone number despite the different surnames. Separate testimony identified Padilla as Daniella Bergeron, the seller named in a contract for 8 Raleigh Drive.
